Jake White’s new winning team!

JOHANNESBURG - (11th January 2008) – Jake White started his first day of coaching with his new team at Richmark. Whilst the country is warming up to its’ new Springbok coach, the Richmark Holdings Group welcomed its new Head Coach of Marketing, former Boks & World Cup winning coach, Jake White.

“It’s a very exciting day for me” said White this morning, “I have been involved in rugby all my life and this is the first time I am engaged in a different industry, it’s very challenging for me and am looking forward to my stay here.”

White was introduced to all Group Companies by Richmark Holdings CEO, Gavin Varejes , “Its an honour and a privilege for us to welcome Jake into our fold” said Varejes, “we could not afford to lose a man of the calibre & stature of Jake White to another country and his decision to stay in South Africa and to join us at Richmark in our mission to promote and develop entrepreneurial spirit and skill, made us very happy”.

“I said to myself that if I can’t coach a better country or team than South Africa then I will not coach rugby anymore and therefore I am ready to take on the challenge in the business world and make Richmark my new winning team” added White.

Jake White’s role in SLAM (SAFA Licensing & Marketing) and in the Bafana Bafana Licensing programme will be of great value, “I don’t think South African’s realize how big the FIFA 2010 Soccer World Cup is going to be!” said White, “the positive spin-offs that it will bring and the legacy that this Soccer World Cup will leave are innumerable and am very excited by the prospect of being involved in promoting our National Soccer Team, Bafana Bafana.”

Jake White returns to his home in Cape Town this afternoon and will be commuting on a regular basis to Johannesburg , Sandton where his office is based and where he will be carrying out his duties of Head Coach of Marketing for Richmark Holdings (Pty) Ltd.
