PUMA Participate In Work No. 850 by Martin Creed At Tate Britain

London, UK – PUMA have joined forces with Turner Prize winning artist Martin Creed for an exhibition that will literally run in the central gallery of London’s Tate Britain until November 16.

Creed’s Work No. 850 features runners sprinting through the 86m gallery - every 30 seconds a runner sprints the length of the gallery (which can take up to 15 seconds) in this work which “celebrates physicality and the human spirit”. PUMA, renowned for pioneering creative partnerships and with a solid commitment to supporting art and design, have provided the runners with apparel and performance footwear.

“PUMA were thrilled to be asked by Martin Creed and Tate Britain to be involved in this exciting art work. PUMA Running is a fast growing category for the brand and we are delighted to be included in the project. PUMA continue to support art and artists through various partnerships and to be working with Martin and the Tate Britain is a fantastic opportunity,“ said PUMA CEO Jochen Zeitz.

Martin Creed was born in Wakefield, England in 1968. He studied at the Slade School of Art, London from 1986-1990, and lives and works in London. In 2001 he was awarded the Turner Prize for a number of solo exhibitions that demonstrated “the rigour and purity of his work and its characteristic mixture of seriousness and humour”.
