Release from Canterbury

It is with great sadness and devastation that we have to share with you that Robbie Chapman (Chappies!) passed away on Thursday afternoon, 11 September 2008.

Robbie contributed positively in everything he did. Robbie’s passion was sport and in particular rugby! He played it with heart, he loved to coach it and he was well respected wherever he went. It was a natural fit that he worked with us at Canterbury and his enthusiasm and commitment helped tremendously to develop the brand and the people around him.

Robbie was a man of utmost integrity and uncompromising in his desire to succeed in the sports industry.

Robbie is very sadly missed as a colleague and more particularly as a friend.

Our thoughts go out to all of you that knew him, worked with him and had the opportunity to be associated with him.

Our condolences and support go out to Robbie’s family during this tough time.
