Suunto's ambassadors achieve

Suunto’s mountain ambassador, Jonathan Wyatt, had to overcome all obstacles – including difficult weather – to win the 2008 World Mountain Running Trophy in Crans Mountain, Switzerland. This latest win gives him six career titles.

Wyatt won the 24th annual World Mountain Running Championship in a time of 55:04, beating second and third place finishers Martin Toroitich and Ahmet Arsian by 13 seconds.

With temperatures near 55°F at the start, competitors had to battle cloudy, wet conditions throughout the day. As one of the most experienced runners in the sport, the 35-year-old Wyatt used the conditions to his advantage to pull away from the pack. The wet weather helped the runner, who is known for flying up hillsides, against track and road runners.

Suunto ambassador, Andy Potts, ranks 3rd overall in the Lifetime Fitness Triathlon Series standings after finishing second in the Los Angeles Triathlon.

Potts finished in a time of 1:46:47. He led the race during the swim section and for close on 25 out of the 40km’s of the bike section. While posting the fastest time in the running section it was unfortunately not enough to catch up to the winner, Greg Bennett, the Lifetime Fitness Triathlon series overall points leader.

The Los Angeles Triathlon was the fourth leg of the five-race Lifetime Fitness Triathlon series.

Both Wyatt and Pott use the Suunto t6c heart rate monitor.
