Massmart third in Low Carbon Companies sector

Massmart has been ranked third in the Low Carbon Companies sector in the international Carbon Disclosure Project’s South African report prepared by Incite Sustainability. Massmart scored 90 out 100.

This is a cherry on the top of an already ecological cake. Earlier this year Massmart was awarded Best Sustainability Report (Non-Extractive Industries) by the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants, named Top Performer in the 2007 JSE Socially Responsible Investment Index (medium environmental impact category), winner of the FM Top Companies survey and the Best Retail Performer in the FM Top Empowerment Companies survey.
