ispo china winter sets new visitor record

13 500 visitors attended the fith ispo china winter (2008 received 11 500) – a 17% increase. These visitors could visit the more-than-300 exhibitoring brands.

Exhibitor numbers were boosted by the new segment, Mountain and Winter Technologies, and for the first time Alpitec China 09 was incorporated into the show. In total, exhibitors covered 25 000m2, and five halls, of exhibition space.

Additionally, the Wearable Technologies section, which showcases the latest technology trends, premiered this year at ispo china.

Among the many events, congresses, workshops and fashion shows held at the show was the Match Making Activity, which connected Chinese distributors with western brands. This proved popular as 370 distributors had confirmed their attendance. The event provided a platform where the usual language barriers could be overcome and people could meet. The established China Outdoor Retailing Conference (CORC) and the Asia Pacific Snow Conference (APSC) attracted 160 participants to the CORC and 100 to the APSC, while over 150 participants attended the China Pan-Outdoor Industry Summit Forum, where professional from several sports and leisure segments discussed the development of synergies and pan-outdoor measures to further grow all involved markets.
