Van der Burgh signs with ArenaSouth African swimming sensation, Cameron van der Burgh, has joined the Arena Elite Team of international swimmers. Other members of the team are Olympic record holder Cesar Cielo Filho and top swimmers Alain Bernard, Laszlo Cseh, Massimiliano Rosolino.
Van der Burgh (21) is a world-class breaststroker with huge potential for further growth. He won the Best Male Swimmer Overall Award at the FINA ARENA World Cup in 2008 and set three world records in 50m and 100m breaststroke (short course), at the Moscow and Stockholm competitions. In Stockholm Van der Burgh became the first man in the world to break the wall of 26 seconds in 50m breaststroke (25.94). He won a bronze medal during the 2007 World Championships in Melbourne.
