With the Proteas currently the number 1 ranked team in One Day Internationals and the 2nd ranked team in test cricket, it’s with great pride that Reebok launches the new kit across all formats of the game – T20, ODI and Test cricket.

Reebok’s Marketing Manager Dave Turnbull was excited about the partnership with the Proteas commenting; “This Proteas’ side has grown phenomenally over the last few years and is now one of the best balanced and most successful national teams in the world. They have the ingredients to become a dominant force in world cricket for some time, and we’re looking forward to being a part of the challenge that lies ahead.”

Proteas’ skipper Graeme Smith had this to add; “It's fantastic to have a strong international sports brand like Reebok on board, and it’s great to feel like we’re working towards a common goal - that is to make sure South Africa is ranked as the best cricketing nation on every front.”

The new kit will be unveiled at an official launch at the end of May – venue to be confirmed. The T20 replica and supporters’ kit will go on sale end May at retailers countrywide, to give supporters ample time to get kitted up and show their support ahead of the Proteas’ challenge for the T20 World Cup in June.

The sponsorship agreement runs for three years till the end of the 2011/2012 season and includes the 2011 Cricket World Cup in New Zealand.
