Adventurers recommended by sheep farmer to wear
Hi-Tec’s
Having walked from Cape Town to the Sea of Galilee via Mount Kilimanjaro, adventurers Alexandre and Sonia Poussin have partnered with Hi-Tec and will now be part of their product development team.
They undertook this marathon walk without sponsors or a support team – relying on the people they met along the way. Their relationship with Hi-Tec started after Sonia’s footwear were causing extremely sore blisters, which they had to “fix” by cutting open the sides of her walking shoes. In the northern part of the Eastern Cape they met a Merino sheep farmer who recommended they try Hi-Tec boots. Hi-Tec’s saw them through the rest of their journey and these boots are now proudly displayed in Hi-Tec’s head office in the UK.
The journey took three years to complete during which they travelled through eleven countries along 14 000km’s and met 1 200 families.
