New Springbok jersey at competitive priceThe new official Springbok jersey, which sports both the Protea and the Springbok logos, will be officially launched to consumers on 2 June 2009. Certain items in limited quantities may become available to the public in the week leading up to this date.
“The new rugby jerseys will be offered to supporters at highly competitive prices – in fact, the wholesale price of the Supporter’s Jersey will be less than that of last year, despite rising raw material costs,” says Cuan Chelin, CEO of Super-Brands, the holding company of Canterbury SA. “We have catered for various levels of consumers and avid fans will be able to choose from a wide selection of SA rugby apparel.” The new Springbok jersey will feature the national sports emblem on the left and the Springbok on the right hand side, as approved by the South African Rugby Union. The national rugby team are expected to wear their new kit against the British and Irish Lions on 20 June 2009 heralding, the new ‘face’ of SA rugby.
