Athletic footwear retail sales pass $17-bnThe NSGA (National Sporting Goods Association) has released their Sporting Goods Market in 2008 report wherein they report that athletic footwear retail sales in the US have surpassed $17-b for the first time (up 2.7% from 2006). The largest category is walking shoes, which reached $4.2-bn in 2007 (up 3% from 2006).
“The Sporting Goods Market in 2008” is available for $290 for retailer/dealer members of the Association and free to manufacturer and sustaining members. For non-members, the cost is $340.
