Michalak wins friendsCape Town fans recently had the opportunity to meet French rugby icon Freddy Michalak at the new Lilywhites store in the Waterfront, where he signed autographs and showed off his new Le Coq Sportif boot.
According to his agent, Dalila Essediri, Michalak decided to sign with Le Coq Sportif because they offered him the opportunity to become involved with rugby development in a poor community. He chose ‘Nelson Mandela’s country’ and thus got a contract with the Sharks as well as ‘coaching position’ with the KwaMashu team Ses’khona. Michalak also signed with Le Coq Sportif because the company was founded in 1882 and his lucky number is 82 (date of birth, weight and locker).
