Sinclair replaces Erlank at Retailcorp SA

Leonard Erlank, who was in charge of the team who opened the first Lilywhites and Sports Direct stores in SA, has left Retailcorp SA. Jaye Sinclair, MD of Retailcorp SA, has now also taken over his position as MD of Retailcorp Brands SA. They opened the first Lilywhites store in the V & A Waterfront — owned by their Dubai holding company Nakheel — at the end of last year. A Sports Direct store opened in June this year in the new Zevenwacht mall in Kuils River. Retailcorp has a franchise agreement with Sports Direct International, owner of brands like Dunlop, Slazenger, Karrimor, Lonsdale etc. to open retail stores in countries outside the UK. At least two more Sports Direct stores are in the planning.
